I really enjoy teaching, inspiring fellow quilters to try new avenues and techniques, to look at their work differently, and to get enthusiastic about going beyond their comfort zone. I have learned and gained so much from quilting, and now I want to give something back.
My work usually has a strong foundation in realism and landscapes, but at the same time I very much enjoy whimsy and flights of fancy, abstraction and surface embellishment, which can make a fun combination.
I teach classes at quilting events, at quilt guilds, at quilt shops and occasionally at my Green Point home, about 1 hour North of Sydney, Australia. The majority of my teaching is naturally within Australia, but I will be one of the tutors at the 2009 New Zealand Quilt Symposium.
My current class inventory includes:
Creating A Realistic Landscape Quilt - 2-day workshop
Landscape Plus (beyond realism) -
2-day workshop
Experimenting with leaves
- 1-day workshop
Arty Postcards with style

Magic Mushrooms
