Artist's statement
The rearview mirror came to mind immediately when I saw the challenge title, but ‘forward’ and ‘back’ also can refer to the future and the past. This quilt combines the two. It was a lot of fun to make, with unusual fabrics and a strange futuristic city ‘looking forward’, and memories of lush growth and cobblestones ‘looking back’.
